In response to the vision of our esteemed long-term client - we developed an architectural concept for a mixed-use mid-rise development in Wharf Street, the heart of Tweed Heads. With experience as a high-rise architect and multi-residential architect, we have designed a mixed-use Commercial/Residential Development that combines innovation, functionality, and high-end residential design.
Located in a prime area surrounded by commercial activities, public utilities, esteemed schools, and a vibrant community infrastructure, this development offers residents the perfect balance between convenience and leisure. With close proximity to the picturesque Tweed River foreshore and Coolangatta Beach, recreational opportunities abound.
Our design approach focuses on creating private and communal open spaces that enhance the living experience. Each unit features a spacious balcony, providing residents with their own personal retreat. Additionally, the second and eighth levels serve as communal oases, offering carefully curated recreational zones for residents to socialise and relax. These vibrant areas include inviting dining spaces, cozy seating zones, and open lawn areas, fostering a strong sense of community.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary architectural trends, the top level of the building showcases lush landscaping that captivates onlookers and adds to the visual appeal of the street-front. Rendered extruded awnings and a skilful play between solid and glazed balustrades create a modern allure that complements the building's overall aesthetic.
