Tall Trees Rochedale
Retirement homes that reflects buoyant happy places
Tall Trees Rochdale Supported Living is retirement home designed to reflect buoyant and happy spaces. As experienced aged care architects, we were entrusted by the Tall Trees Group to seamlessly integrate our new design and concept into the existing stage 1 and 2 single-level "traditional" houses, creating a vibrant and connected community.
Our focus was on fostering a sense of community and promoting social interaction among residents. To achieve this, we prioritised the creation of gardens and ensured easy access to the existing leisure centre, encouraging residents to engage with their surroundings and connect with one another.
Breaking away from the traditional greys and dull colours often associated with aged care environments, we carefully curated a blend of neutral understated tones with pops of colour and textured elements. This deliberate choice infuses the spaces with vibrancy and uplifts the overall ambiance, creating an environment that exudes positivity and joy.
In addition to their functional purpose, the covered walkways within the community serve as interactive spaces, enabling residents to socialise, engage in activities, and easily access the main leisure facilities. This thoughtful design feature enhances connectivity and encourages a sense of belonging and togetherness among residents.
As leading aged care architects, our retirement living spaces prioritise the well-being and our design approach emphasises ageing in place, residential care, and the creation of environments that promote a high quality of life.
