Kuraby State School

Kuraby State School embarked on a transformative journey with funding from the Building the Education Revolution program to bring their vision of a multi-purpose hall and dedicated science and technology building to life. Our expertise in education architecture and design allowed us to create functional, visually appealing, and low-maintenance spaces that enhance the learning environment.

The design of the buildings incorporated a clever split, featuring a covered open learning area that offers versatility and fosters interactive educational experiences. This expansive addition seamlessly connects with the adjacent pre-school, establishing efficient paths of travel throughout the school campus. A meticulously designed forecourt extends from the hall and kitchen, incorporating terraced levels that ensure accessibility for all, including disabled individuals. Positioned at the front of the school, the main entry provides easy public access and establishes a strong connection with the surrounding street.

The multi-purpose hall, situated away from the main road, illuminates the night with an enchanting glow, making it a captivating performance area and offering breakout spaces within the school environment. To ensure long-term durability and reduce maintenance requirements, we carefully selected robust materials. Adding to the vibrancy of the space, a playful and vibrant colour palette was employed, infusing energy and excitement into the facility.

Our design not only caters to the school's primary functions but also positions the space as a versatile venue for community events.
