Education - Helensvale State School

A show piece fit for school performances

Helensvale State School received funding for a large multi-purpose and performance hall as part of the Building the Education Revolution program.

The brief was for the hall to be performance oriented and should incorporate a ticket booth, entry hall, kitchen servery, large stage with wings, change rooms, green room, separate stage access and a control booth.

The design featured large north facing windows with high level louvers on the south to enhance natural ventilation and limit artificial light requirements.

The result was a performance hall that is a show piece for the school which adjoins the council car park, making it ideal for public access and all types of school functions.
