A modern oasis amid the hub of Gold Coast beach life

This project was an intensive collaboration with the client, the craftsman and contractor, Lightwave Architectural and project team.  Design solutions were centred on functional responses to client needs, climate and the site characteristics, with intent to develop an Australian subtropical aesthetic.

External outdoor spaces on small coastal suburban lots are highly valuable and play an important role in both their use as a cool outdoor space but also in how they contribute to the adjacent internal spaces.  The considered lighting highlights the architectural forms that are creating this “backyard”.
